[ If there's a working network around here, it would be a stupid mistake to not use it. And while he's not above just reading the backlog, he can't find some information he's actually looking for
time to act clueless on the network, apparently ]
so, i'm here to add to the pile of the "dumb shit newbies ask"
they really just let us loose on the city, huh? while i don't mind being left to my own devices, that whole looming threat of going fucking crazy— that's an unfun part about it
how did this bonding work out for you guys, when you first got here?
been wondering— everyone is talking about the importance of capital 'B' bonding, but how about that tempbond potion? aside for the price obviously. are there any downsides for prolonged use? something to watch out for? limit with how many people you can drink that with?
if there are any parties where we meet, drink a round of shots or two, and then drink these temp potions to get through the moons and all the feral shit— just sign me in. if there are none, then consider it a suggestion

if you wanna experiment with potions, i'm up for it. especially if you're paying.
no subject
though I'm sure we could get some samples for free if you can do cute with me
no subject
but 50/50 sounds good so long as you pay for drinks

[ It was Zack, wasn't it? It must have been Zack. Or these devices identify more on the user than he'd thought. ]

seriously, isn't that kind of irresponsible? here have fun, just don't explode or go feral. what if some of us are shy, they will have problems finding these "bondmates"

Sephiroth is not a man who responds much to the network to start, but that obvious exchange with Aerith is too relevant to ignore. Considering his run-ins with Shinra-adjacent not that long ago, maybe he shouldn’t be surprised to learn of Reno's presence here, and yet this address to the network is still enough to jar a reply out of him.
Ignoring basically everything in this post—]

[fauns fuckin' love parties ok even if he, personally, isn't a huge fan. its a weird time.]
anyway the downside is you gotta pay for em and drink them every day
upside of bonding is that its done and dealt with
when i bonded i just asked one of the first guys i talked to once i got here. he was a witch, so i suggested bonding so we didnt have to deal with the crazy or exploding thing. its worked out pretty well. still bonded like a year later.
no subject
anyway— so you literally just grabbed someone you barely knew and went at it? gotta say that's a ballsy move. great it worked out for you in the end

Why would you prefer a temporary bond to a permanent one? It seems like a lot of hassle with little payoff.
no subject
dude, seriously? don't start with giving me crap about how B bonding is better
i've been here for three nights— that's hardly enough time to find someone to tie a knot with. i'd rather know how it feels like first

Honestly just suck it up and find someone you can tolerate to Bond with.
no subject
who knows, maybe i got someone like that. still seems like a better idea to check alternatives and test waters before doing the big jump. i don't really get why everyone seems to be adverse to that?
and yeah, familiars are not an option

So now he's curious.]
Are you planning to experiment with the temporary potions? If you do, it would be worthwhile to record your experiences for those who may be interested in doing the same.
I have used them twice. I was told they aren't as invasive as a permanent bond, though I can't confirm this. Still, as others have expressed, it is just that: a temporary solution.

WHICH CAN BE A GOOD THING! IF YOU'RE BONDING FOR AN EXPEDITION. A REAL BOND WITH A TOTAL STRANGER... I WOULDN'T WANT TO TRY IT.
I HAVEN'T HEARD OF PARTIES LIKE THAT. JUST SPEED-DATING.
no subject
okay, how are they not the same?
and hey if you didn't want to bond with a total stranger who did you got hitched with?
