[Despite the cutesy username, this video opens on a man visibly somewhere in his mid-twenties, muscular arms crossed over his knees and a cheerful smile revealing canines about as sharp as you'll find outside of the monsters here.]
Hey, so, I'm one of the newcomers that showed up at the start of the month - nice to meet you all. [He waves one red-nailed hand before resting it over his left, slightly concealing the black ring on it.] I was asking the lady who explains what's going on to everyone whether she knew anything about what people being here means for where we came from, and she told me she'd heard some stories about Mirrorbound who saw stuff going on in their worlds through their mirrors. So if that's happened to any of you guys, could you let me know a little more about it? At this point I'm kinda crossing my fingers people aren't freaking out about me being gone back home. Or hey, if you showed up at an awkward time and want to commiserate about it, I'm here for you.
[The "freaking out" is honestly an understatement, considering the depths his partner has dropped to after losing people in the past. But to offset the more serious question, he reaches a hand offscreen and holds up...well, it's the right shape and size to be a soccer ball, even if it hasn't quite reached the modern style of them yet.]
And for anyone old or new - I'm looking for some people to play soccer with. If you don't know it, it's a sport where you split into teams and try to kick a ball into goal defended by the other team. Obviously it's more fun with more people, but if anyone wants to learn to play or just get a bit of a workout, we can go one-on-one.
[A brief pause after that, and then:] I think that's it for now, so let me know, okay?
[He's still not quite enough out of public image mode to openly ask for someone to practice fistfighting against. Maybe another time.]

[Bar the stuff that's outright magically enhanced, but that's arguably just closer to modern tech, like the watches.]
I've lead teams before, so I'm used to the cat herding. I'm definitely gonna look into it if I get enough interest, see if there's any locals we could play against or anything if we only got enough for one team. Otherwise I'll just have to keep it as part of my workout routine.

Directions would be great, though. I'm getting super bored without internet access.
... just now realized that the baby boomers were right; we're addicted to our phones.

[He can't help but laugh at the phone remark, though, patting one of his pockets.] I'm thinking of getting mine converted to run on the magical energy they use here, even just so I can access all my photos and stuff. At least we've got these watch things for just pelting people with texts, and that was a lot of what I did with my phone back home anyway.
["Pelting with texts" actually meaning "keeping up with and orchestrating my giant information and influence network in the entertainment industry".]

Do you think that whole conversion thing would work? That'd essentially make them magitech, wouldn't it? (a phone that runs on runes or something of that ilk sounds intriguing. he managed to bring his with him, but the charge is gone. if he could get it working, he could play the games he had downloaded.)
I just need my apps, but I get the feeling I'm preaching to the choir here.
no subject
As for the apps, he gives a bit of a sympathetic laugh.] Yeah, I've got some games I'd like to get back to, so I think the conversion is worth a shot, especially since there's been so many people here before us. We definitely can't be the only ones with modern phones that they've had to deal with.
[He feels more comfortable in the knowledge they're not going to break his phone than he would if this was the first time they'd handled something like it.]

Hope it's not too far for you, but we all suffer long distances for sport. Like, this guy I knew went skiing up North and had to drive like, twelve hours to get there.
(momo's "modern phones" comment puzzles him, because he's right. batches of mirrorbound were here long before them, but recently enough to make him wonder.) ... it's weird, isn't it? That all of this is just happening now. Why not years ago when they first started having problems?

[An entire day off is a rare commodity for an idol, though he'll sometimes get chances to surf when he's shooting elsewhere in the country or overseas.
As for timing, he hums an agreement, as if he finds it odd as well.] I think the answer to that question would be tied up in how we come here in the first place, since they say the Coven isn't bringing us. Maybe someone decided it was time for an intervention.

(he sounds busy, though. that's too bad, but pitying him might be taking it a bit too far. hell, maybe he loves what he does and doesn't mind having no free time. jonas nods at the nice thought.)
Some people have been here for quite some time and still haven't figured it out. Not to diss them or anything, but it's crazy how big of a mystery it is. I don't even know the first thing about magic, so they chose at least one wrong guy.

[Momo doesn't tend to let on anything too negative in the first place, so even though he has his occasional problems with his industry, his manner stays cheerful.]
Hey, I don't know anything about magic either, so that's two. Maybe they were just aiming for people who'd be willing to learn if they got the chance? But again, hard to tell without knowing who's doing it. If I was in the world-helping business I'd probably want people who knew how to use some kind of magic to be wielding it.

(it was starting to get a BIT... OVERWHELMING...)
Anyway, I've got class to get to—since we're the ones doing all the work around here, apparently—but we should keep in contact. Definitely remember me if you get a team together... apart from that, it's like I said. I'll kick a ball around anytime. Talk to you soon?
no subject
[In parting, he risks another wink, this time making a little v-shape over his other eye with his fingers as well.] See you around, anyway. Enjoy your class.

throws up two fingers and "shoots" at the video feed. even makes the sound effects with a couple clicks of his tongue.)
Just don't cry too hard when you lose. (yeah, no, momo will beat his ass at soccer. what a loser.)

Be careful what you wish for. Momo-chan has to set a good example for his juniors. [Considering what prompted the remark, he blows him a kiss as a gentle parting shot of more Momo Gestures To Deal With.]
