[ If there's a working network around here, it would be a stupid mistake to not use it. And while he's not above just reading the backlog, he can't find some information he's actually looking for

time to act clueless on the network, apparently ]

so, i'm here to add to the pile of the "dumb shit newbies ask"

they really just let us loose on the city, huh? while i don't mind being left to my own devices, that whole looming threat of going fucking crazy— that's an unfun part about it

how did this bonding work out for you guys, when you first got here?

been wondering— everyone is talking about the importance of capital 'B' bonding, but how about that tempbond potion? aside for the price obviously. are there any downsides for prolonged use? something to watch out for? limit with how many people you can drink that with?

if there are any parties where we meet, drink a round of shots or two, and then drink these temp potions to get through the moons and all the feral shit— just sign me in. if there are none, then consider it a suggestion

If I answer these questions will it actually make any difference in whether or not you chose to Bond?

Why would you prefer a temporary bond to a permanent one? It seems like a lot of hassle with little payoff.

It is better when you get down to time, cost, effort, and considering the time when the temporary bond will not be active.

No one expects you to be bonded overnight. But there's people who resist the idea of it at all until it becomes such a dire situation and they're out here begging for someone to bond to them. I just like knowing if my efforts are just going to be fully wasted on a stubborn person.

Being Bonded is like a sharing of power. When you have a permanent Bond, Witches and Monsters both benefit, and it's a long-term exchange of power and magic.

I'm a witch who is only bonded to monsters. I can't be certain about any power boosts for different types of bonds.

I've been bonded for nearly a year and it's not actually very intrusive, personally. And to be honest, the longer I've been bonded, the better everyone is at managing that aspect, too. I guess it depends on you and who you're bonded to.

Honestly, people make a bigger deal about it than it really is. It's not like they can read my thoughts.

Oh. I know they do. People tend to act like it's on par with a wedding. Mostly just shook my Bonds hands and promised not to do something stupid. Oh, I guess. But it's only happened like once with my Bond, and we've been bonded like...just a few weeks short of a year. I get the feeling things like that aren't particularly common, and it still doesn't outweigh the benefits.

Uh - talk to people you know. Some people kind of use this thing the same way one would use like a dating app and seek out Bonds. While, ultimately, you don't have to do it right away, it doesn't hurt to keep it on your mind. Find someone easy to get along with.

And, if it doesn't work out, it's not like you can't break a Bond, anyway.

I'm glad to share what I've learned when someone wants to listen or learn.

But, I'll hold you to that. Louis, by the way.
