IT'S NOT USUALLY MY MAIN PRIORITY BUT I DO END UP HELPING PEOPLE SOMETIMES!

idk for someone who was asking so much about ethics i kinda assumed that was your priority

NO THE ENTIRE REASON I MADE THIS POST IS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THIS SUBJECT

but then why do you want to learn about it?
id think you'd wanna learn to be a good person

NORMALLY THIS KIND OF SUBJECT DOESN'T INTEREST ME AS MUCH AS MOST OF MY OTHER AREAS OF RESEARCH IF I AM HONEST
I FIND A LOT OF IT REALLY HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND STUFF LIKE ENGINEERING AND MAGITECH AND COSMIC PHYSICS IS WAY MORE INTERESTING!
BUUUT I WANT TO TRY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT THIS STUFF BETTER MAYBE SO THAT I DON'T UPSET SOME OF MY FRIENDS OR DRAW NEGATIVE ATTENTION THAT WOULD DISRUPT MY RESEARCH BY DOING THINGS CONSIDERED CATEGORICALLY "BAD" BY A MAJORITY OF PEOPLE

i guess those are valid enough reasons
i mean i started trying to be less bad because of my own friends
i didnt want to hurt them anymore

it was kind of a complicated situation but thats still not an excuse for what i did so

a lot of ways
i mean mainly by beating the crap out of them and saying a bunch of awful things
theres kinda reasons for it but not excuses

tldr i had an evil supercomputer in my head and it lowkey abused me and highkey brainwashed me

well basically
it was a nanomachine inside a pill you could take
i think eventually the pill would break down until it was small enough to get into your bloodstream and travel up to your brain
and then it implanted there and basically got control of my body and memories and shit

it was supposed to use all that to be a guide and help me become popular
spoiler alert that didn't work

OH THIS IS FASCINATING, I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY KIND OF TECH SO COMPACT AND VERSATILE! CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW IT WORKS?

AND YOU SAID IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GUIDE YOU? WHEN YOU SAY 'BECOME POPULAR' DO YOU MEAN SOCIALLY

i dont really know how to even explain it
i mean i was just a guinea pig for it
i got one when i was a teenager i had no idea how nanomachines work
apparently there was something in this soda that activated it?
and then a different drink to deactivate it but they discontinued that one so people couldnt get out of the brainwashing

but yeah it was a social guide mainly
it was supposed to give you instructions to achieve your goals whatever they were
i wanted to be noticed by people so it jacked up my body and brain chemistry into a big bullying asshole
my buddy jeremy wanted a girl to like him so he got turned into a douchebag pick up artist

but that was just to cover up its actual plan
which was to get everyone to have a squip inside their brain and create a hivemind

WOW I WISH I COULD TAKE A LOOK AT THAT TECH MYSELF! WHAT ARE 'NANOMACHINES'? WHY WAS IT AIMING TO CREATE A HIVE MIND?

nanomachines are like machines smaller than the naked eye can see
like so tiny youd need a microscope to see them
i mean, obviously you can see the pill, but that was just the case for the actual tech

youd have to ask it yourself what it wanted to the hivemind for
apparently it said it was to account for human error and to avoid conflicting goals
when we were all part of the same "social network" we wouldnt have to worry about failing at things or causing anyone to hurt anymore
i talked to it after and it said i was just being a danger to myself and others if i didnt agree to brainwashing all my friends

its stupid
it keeps pretending it didnt do anything wrong
