[ VOICE ] - dated before the first ship to Dorchacht
My name is Lux, and I have a favor to ask of a few of you.
A number of us will be traveling to Dorchacht to... smooth over some rough patches in our relationship with them. Say what you will about how they treat others—I have my own opinions, and that isn't necessarily something I wish to speak about here. That isn't the point of this. Talks are bound to be tense, and many of us will be going in blind.
I am looking for a few monsters to align with, who won't shy away from gathering information, by any means necessary. In exchange for this, I offer a temporary Bond, during our time there; and protection if things don't turn out as expected. I will do what I can to keep you safe while in Dorchacht.
I am also looking for a few Witches willing to come together to push for equal treatment of Monsters within Dorchacht. Neither city can afford a war; and while I have experience with this sort of situation, there is strength in numbers. We have the resources—and it only makes sense to gather as many in one place before attacking this problem.
This is asking a lot, I know, but I want to be prepared for anything. I doubt I am the only one. I will be leaving in a few days. I would prefer to have these discussions before then, either in person, or here. Thank you.

I'm glad. It's a relief knowing that I have your support. I was worried that people might think I'm overstepping.
I think, right now, we should focus on what each one of us wants to bring to the negotiation table. Have you given this any thought at all?

[They've all been thinking about this problem in their own way. Maybe their opinions didn't all match, but it's been important to most people in it's own way.]
I've been thinking about it a lot. For them, this is most likely the way they've been living for a long time. I'm not sure what kind of words might reach them. But I have to try. What I'd like to do is try to explain it in a logical way they might understand-- the benefits of changing their ways, what they can gain from working together instead of one working for another. And I want to show them that this way works. I think that as a group, we have an opportunity to lead by example. Seeing is believing, right?

[ Listening to Towa speak, Lux nods, but hesitates when she begins to speak again. ]
There are those who will stubbornly hold tight to their ideals, no matter how different— [ No. ] How wrong they might be. They can't always see past what they've been taught, or what they believe is true or right. I don't know if Miss Morgana or the people of Dorchacht will listen to reason, but you're right. We have to try.
But I think I may have an idea on how to approach this that might get their attention, more than trying to lead by example.

[Towa nods as Lux speaks. She knows this, she's witnessed it firsthand through the civil war.]
You're right. It might not make any difference at all. So... I'd like to hear what you have in mind.

I think it may be better to talk about this in person. Would you like to come have tea with me?
[ There are certain things that require context, but she isn't willing to speak to them over a public network. ]
no subject
[It doesn't sound like she wants to talk about it in a public space, so it's only fair to offer.]
no subject
As long as you let me provide the tea. [ Sorry Towa, she isn't going to compromise on this. ] Would you like me to come over now, or later?
no subject
[She can sense that she wouldn't win that one, even if she tried to fight it.]
I'm not busy at the moment, so if you have the time, now is fine!
tags from desk, shhh
All right. Where is the house that you're staying in?
my lips are sealed
[She quickly draws out a little map for reference--]
Specifically this one! I can step outside to meet you.
→ Action
[ True to her word, in about a half hour, Lux knocks on Towa's door. Holding a tiny satchel in her hands, she waits patiently. ]

Come in! Please... make yourself at home.
[The house has the feel that comes with so many living in it-- a bit busy perhaps from various belongings-- but it's well kept after. She may have let Lux bring the tea, but she has prepared a plate with some simple tea cookies to accompany it, next to a tea set with two cups.]

Thank you for having me.
[ Setting the satchel on the table, she opens it before pulling out a glass bottle filled with curious-looking balls of tea. ]
I hope I'm not inconveniencing you at all.

[She hasn't had many opportunities to have guests yet. It's really nice to have a place that she loves so much to bring them into.]
I'm really happy you accepted.
